Business sold to Travelers in 1997.

President and Chief Executive Officer
Took charge of a Fleet company
that specialized in acquisition, management, and disposition of
loans and real estate assets for institutional investors. Grew
it from $400 million asset portfolio to $4 billion in assets in
two and a half years. Expanded from single business line to three,
from one office and 65 people to nine offices and 180 people.
Net revenues increased by a factor of 3.
Company was sold to Mellon Bank in 1996.
RECOLL MANAGEMENT CORPORATION (RECOLL) 1991 – 1993
Senior Vice President, Division Head, Owned Real
Estate (ORE) 1992 – 1993
Managed the Owned Real Estate division of RECOLL Management
Corporation, a Fleet subsidiary established to manage and liquidate
special loan and asset pools.
Responsible for 150 employees, an annual budget in
excess of $75 million, and annual sales in excess of $350 million.
The Division's portfolio included approximately 1,200 real estate
assets totaling more than $750 million in value. Assets ranged
to $30 million in value and most were operating properties.
Increased sales year-to-year by more than 120% while decreasing
expenses and headcount by more than 20%.
Senior Vice President, Department Head, Marketing
and Sales 1991 – 1992
Headed up the newly established Marketing and Sales
department for RECOLL’s Owned Real Estate division. Led department
consisting of 65 people, handling sales and marketing of $600-$700
million of owned real estate assets in 17 states.
Doubled sales rate in one year.

Founded private investment firm to invest in commercial
real estate projects in joint venture with developers. Consulted
in a variety of workout assignments for financial institutions
with troubled loan portfolios.

Senior Vice President
Built a team of well trained, lending officers; increased
outstanding loans by more than 50%.
Selected by Fleet Chairman Terry Murray to organize
and manage blue-ribbon economic development effort for the State
of Rhode Island. Recruited
Ira Magaziner to be on the project.
The culmination of the two-year Business/Labor/Education
Commission was a blueprint/action plan to improve the State of
Rhode Island’s industry and to establish new ventures.
The effort drew tremendous national acclaim.

Managed all investor, public, media, and government
relations for this New York Stock Exchange Company. Tripled analyst
coverage. Built an innovative
investor communications program to regain analyst confidence.
Created targeted financial advertising program to broaden market
for stock. Revamped shareholder communications; developed prize-winning
annual reports and quarterly. Directed government affairs effort
to achieve legislative objectives. Administered corporate charitable
foundation.

Developed overall marketing direction for the company
and directed liaison with manufacturing facility to meet production
goals.

this $100 million American Stock Exchange REIT. Wrote prize-winning
real estate glossary which became industry standard.
